6.4 SCHOOL SERVICES

6.4.1 SCHOOL CATERING

The payment of this service is quoted in proportion of the income, so at the moment of the request the parent must present his ISEE certification ( economic situation equivalent index), released by a CAF (fiscal assistance centre) or a Patronato, to the commune. After the third son the price descends.

6.4.2 TRANSPORT (SCHOOL BUS)

Each Comune every year quotes the price to pay this service for the first son. In case of other sons that will use the service the price is inferior. The payment may be done for the whole year or month by month.

6.4.3 EXEMPTION FROM THE PAYMENT

For the families assisted by the social services it is procided the exemption from the payment of the services of school catering and school transports. It is required the presentation of a documentation proving the state of need.

6.4.4 STUDING BOOKS - SCHOLARSHIPS

The Regione can issue announcements of competition in order to grant free studing books or scholarships for those who have this right for their income. It is required the ISEE Certification.

6.4.5 TEACHING OF CATHOLIC RELIGION

Among the different subjects taught in the Italian school, there is also catholic religion.

Upon registration in state schools, children and their families must choose if they accept or not the teaching of catholic religion, by filling in a form, supplied by school. Children who do not attend catholic religion lessons may attend courses of alternative subjects organised by the school.
